I bet no one told you how expensive getting into aviation would be or
how long it would take you to pay off your bills. Are you tired of
trying to make ends meet every month? Wondering whether or not you
should contribute to an RRSP or pay down your credit card balance? Even
if you've finished paying off your debts we all could use a little
financial advice!
Come out to our next chapter meeting when we'll have guest speaker Royle
Derbitsky, a certified Financial Planner from Investor's Group. Royle
will give a 30 minute presentation on his financial words of wisdom then
open the floor to a question and answer session to give you all a chance
to ask your specific questions.
Don't let the cost of Airport Parking prevent you from getting financial
advice! Parking at the airport will be validated for attendees! Just
take a ticket at the parking gate to enter the lot and you will be
issued a pre-paid exit ticket after the seminar!

SPIRIT OF AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP
FUNDRAISING - CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
Throughout the year we fundraise for our Spirit of Aviation Scholarship
which awards one deserving individual an all expenses paid trip to the
WAI Conference. The conference is a great opportunity to meet other
women in the industry and often give a boost in confidence and energy
during these tough times in the industry.
We are looking for volunteers to help us for an hour or two at a BBQ we
are hosting at Perimeter on Friday Aug 27th during the Open House of the
50th Anniversary Reunion. Send us a quick email if you can help out!
(Scholarship covers cost of airfare, 3 nights hotel at Conference, and
conference registration)
